Salman Khan is back as Prem!
Off late, Salman Khan is seen only in action packed films and yes we do agree, it’s kind of getting boring seeing the super talented guy doing the same thing over and over again. The bored Salman, wants to do something romantic now.
If reports are to be believed, Prem will be back. Sallu has contacted Sooraj Barjatya, the director of Maine Pyaar Kiya, to make a simple, sweet romantic film.
Undoubetedly, in this film too he will be called Prem.
Salman Khan has to say sorry: Shakti Kapoor!
Shakti Kapoor, villain-turned-comedia is apparently upset with Salman Khan, the host of ‘Bigg Boss 5’, for for insulting him on the show. And now, Shakti Kapoor wants an apology from Salman Khan.
Reportedly, Shakti Kapoor while inside the Bigg Boss house, wasn’t very happy about certain things that Salman Khan said about him.
On the opening day of the show, Salman apparently made a harsh statement against the veteran actor saying, “Bigg Boss ko manna padega! Shakti Kapoor jaise logon ko apne ghar bulaya, hum to kabhi na bulayen! (It is quite surprising that Shakti Kapoor got the invitation to enter the Bigg Boss’ house, I wouldn’t have invited him, ever.)”
Venting out his anger, Shakti Kapoor tells a news daily: “I would like to tell him (Salman) that even if invites me to his house, I may not want to go there! He made those scathing remarks without any provocation, so he has to say sorry!”
Not very long ago, Shakti Kapoor called Salman Khan a woman-beater on his Twitter page.
Katrina is definitely more beautiful, says Anushka!
One thing that makes Anushka Sharma stand out in the crowd is her confidence and talent. Her beauty comes secondary. She is a super talented female and it is clearly seen in all her four films.
It is heard that before Band Baaja Baaraat happened, Anushka came across directors who bluntly told her that they needed someone who is “stunningly beautiful” and that she didn’t fulfil their criteria.
Talking to a news magazine, Anushka said she was literally speechless when the Yash Chopra new film’s press release said that the film stars Shahrukh Khan with the “very beautiful” Katrina Kaif and the “very talented” Anushka Sharma.
“I didn’t know how to react when I read that. I didn’t know whether I should be happy that I’m talented or be sad that I’m not beautiful. I remember having this conversation with my father. I guess I’ll have to find solace in Adi’s (Aditya Chopra) words who told me, “We chose you because you can act and that beauty is not your USP”.”
The actress also believes that she doesn’t need a PR to survive in this industry.

Madhur couldn’t have asked for a better actress than Bebo for Heroine…
Kareena Kapoor is putting in all her efforts in her upcoming film ‘Heroine’. The actress is also believed to have cried while shooting for some emotional scenes.
While talking to a daily, the director of Heroine says, “She won’t ever disappoint her directors. She never asks for alterations in scenes…. So, I don’t know anything about any news story, but I know my heroine is doing a fabulous job.”
If buzz is to be believed, initially when Kareena was approached for the film, she turned down the offer as she had a pact with her beau Saif not to get intimate with any of her co stars except Saif alone.
Confirming the news about Bebo breaking down on the sets for a few dramtic scenes Madhur says, “It’s true! Kareena actually had tears while enacting the scenes.”
Madhur is so grateful to Bebo and says he couldn’t have asked for a better actress than Bebo for Heroine.
The second schedule of the film will resume in January 2012.
Saif-Kareena wedding in March!
Immediately after the realese of Saif Ali Khan’s home-production Agent Vinod, He and his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor are all set to tie the knot. This news has been confirmed by Saif Ali Khan’s sister Soha.
“The date hasn’t been finalised. Bhai says after Agent Vinod releases, they will finalise the date and share it with everyone,” said Soha. “Tentatively, it is March, since the release of Agent Vinod has been planned for February 2012. It will be soon after that,” she added.
according to sources, Saif has kept Agent Vinod as his current priority.
“Saif and Kareena had decided that they would marry in early 2012. After Nawab Pataudi’s death, the family was in two minds about postponing the date. However, both the families decided that the wedding should happen sooner instead of later,” a source revealed.
So will marriage be a problem to Kareena’s career?
Say’s Bebo, “Marriage is no longer a hurdle in an actor’s career. Sharmila Tagore and Aishwarya Rai have done their best work after marriage.”
The year 2012 is going to see too many celebrity weddings.
First look: Vidya Balan in ‘Kahaani’!
Seems like Vidya Balan is on a roll. Catch the actress in her upcoming film Kahaani, directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
The actress essays the role of a pregnant woman ho is in search of her missing husband. Major part of the film has been shot in Kolkata. Director Sujoy Ghosh tweeted, “KAHAANI was shot in all real locations. No budget to build set. In Kolkata its totally impossible to shoot real but we did it:)”
Sujoy Ghosh had written the script of the film keeping Vidya in mind.
In the first look of Kahaani, with the background of the famous Howrah bridge, Vidya is shown pregnant, having a tired look on her face.
No one better than Vidya would be able to pull off a role like this.
The Dirty Picture – Review
First things first – kudos to the cast and crew for bringing out a film like this! ‘The Dirty Picture’ has all the ingredients of a commercial cinema to keep the audience engaged for 140 minutes, and believe me, it’s definitely not a biopic, and for sure the movie doesn’t feel like a documentary. The makers of the film wanted to accomplish three things with this film, which are – “entertainment, entertainment, entertainment”. Today’s audience wants entertainment, and the film just provides us with that.
Synopsis: As we already know, the film is inspired by the life of ‘Silk’ Smitha – the sex siren who rocked the south film industry during the eighties and the early nineties. Thus the name of the lead character in the film, ‘Silk’. But I believe the similarities just end here. Reshma aka ‘Silk’ is a girl from a small town in Tamil Nadu who runs off to Madras just before the day she is to get married to fulfill her ambition of becoming an actress. But as fate has it, she is unable to garner any opportunities of becoming a lead lady and ends up being a ‘sex siren’ and a ‘vamp’ in films. The rest of the story is about how her career reaches new heights and how it falls to unseen depths, as she becomes addicted to alcohol and begins to age.
Cast and Performances: The primary cast of the film includes names like Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor.
Naseeruddin Shah plays the role of a ‘Southern Superstar’ and he fits the bill perfectly. Tusshar Kapoor plays Nasseruddin Shah’s brother and a budding writer who falls for ‘Silk’. His character in the film is a very subtle one and he gels into his role well. Coming to Emraan Hashmi, one has to say that his acting only keeps improving. Emraan Hashmi’s voice plays a crucial role in the film as he is also narrating the story and his hatred for ‘Silk’. His encounters with Vidya Balan are simply superb.
But of all the cast, the credit definitely has to go the lead lady Vidya Balan. There was Parineeta, then was Ishqiya, then No One Killed Jessica and now it’s The Dirty Picture. One has to say that she’s gotta have guts to play such an audacious character that smokes, drinks, shows oodles of cleavage and utters filthy one-liners. Vidya Balan’s efforts have to be supremely appreciated for she manages to pull off everything that the character requires with supreme panache while not making it look vulgar. For those of you who were thinking that Vidya Balan was risking her career playing the role of ‘Silk’ and she doesn’t have the ‘oomph factor’ of Silk Smitha, just watch the movie and decide for yourself what the lady is capable of.
The rest of the cast is just as convincing.
Technical Departments: After Vidya Balan, the film belongs to the writer, Rajat Arora. His story, screenplay and dialogues are simply superb. It is tough to write an entertaining film inspired by the true story of a ‘sex goddess’ who ended her life abruptly. But Rajat Arora does a fabulous job, and a few one-liners and dialouges of his are sure going to have the audience in splits.
The camera work and editing are slick and suit the mood of the film. ‘Oo la la’ is already playing on many lips, and the background is perfect.
Lastly, the credit has to go to Milan Luthria. This veteran filmmaker is just continuing his form from his last outing (Once Upon a Time in Mumbai). He succeeded in extracting brilliant performances from all his actors and the lead lady especially.
Final Say: “The Dirty Picture – Definitely Not” 
Kareena Kapoor in ‘Agent Vinod’…
Off late, all we can hear is Kareena Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and only Kareena Kapoor. After the super success of Bodyguard, Bebo has now started working on Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod.
Early this week, Kareena got back to shooting her forthcoming flick at the Filmistan Studio. Dressed in a beautiful traditional Mughal attire in pink, Bebo shot for a song.
Rumors had it that in order to give dates to Aamir Khan starrer Reema Kagti’s film Dhuan, the actress held up Saif Ali Khan’s home production, ‘Agent Vinod’.
However, clearing all the rumors, Kareena says, “It’s unlikely that I’d delay Saif’s film. What’s his is mine too, so Agent Vinod is as much my baby as it is Saif’s.”
Bebo has four major films in her kitty: Shahrukh Khan’s Diwali special Ra.One, Aamir Khan’s Dhuan that comes on Republic Day, followed by Imran Khan’s Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu on Valentine’s Day. Agent Vinod could release in December or early next year.
The shooting for Agent Vinod is likely to wrap up by September.

Shahrukh Khan’s romantic avatar is a favorite among all the women! The above video has SRK back into his the romantic mood, romancing Kareena Kapoor. The song Dildara is SRK’s favourite from the ‘Ra.One’.
The actor who plays a sci-fi hero in the film posted on his twitter page, “dildara going live on raonmovie.com with dildara in a few minutes…hope u all like it.”
Dildara with a remixed version of hit classic Stand by Me by Ben E King, shows the love story of SRK-Kareena’s characters in the film. Sporting two looks in the film one with curly hair and the other, he sports blue eyes. Kareena Kapoor, looks beautiful as ever.
The response to the song is overwhelming; Shahrukh Khan’s fans are even claiming that the movie ‘Ra.One’ is going to break all the box office records.
Directed by Vishal-Shekhar, the song also features the E King’s classic Stand by Me, for which SRK bought the rights.
The film is set to hit theatres Diwali this year.
